The Bikini Bumps Terminator Hypothesis: A New Understanding of Shaving Bumps
Bikini Bumps Terminator challenges the long-standing belief that ingrown hairs are primarily caused by curly or wiry hair growing back into the skin. This outdated theory led to practices such as tweezing, which often worsen inflammation and increase the risk of infection, hyperpigmentation, and long-term skin damage.
Through extensive research, Bikini Bumps Terminator introduced a new scientific perspective:
Shaving bumps are primarily caused by trauma from shaving.
This trauma triggers inflammation in the skin, which manifests as bumps, irritation, and discoloration.
In response to shaving trauma, irritated keratinocytes stimulate melanocyte activity, leading to increased melanin production and inflammatory mediators.
